During the first half year of 2023, Alta's first SMART hotel will transition to a 24-hour reception with a bar and a giftshop. We are also opening a new restaurant that will serve as a breakfast room for hotellguests. 

Barception is a concept that consists of reception and bar in one. In other words, this means that we offer reception service to our hotel guests at Canyon Hotell, while at the same time offering bar services for anyone who wants to visit the bar.

The main goal is to be more present for our quest and deliver top quality service in all stages. We will also have a strong focus on environmentally friendly operations, so providing eco – friendly products and reducing waste is a top priority.

As a barceptionist you will have the following responsibilities and tasks:

• You will be responsible for the barception on your shift. Your focus will be to ensure that our guests receive the best service every time they visit us.
• Check-in and check-out of hotel guests.
• Serving guests in the bar.
• Manage cash - and credit systems.
• Answering incoming calls, receiving and following up bookings and other work that naturally falls under the reception.
• Communication with guests and actively contributing to additional sales of the hotel's services, gift shop and other departments within Æventyr.
• Responsible for ensuring that the barception appear in an inviting and presentable manner.
• Ensuring that internal tasks and routines in the barception is carried out, as well as following laws and regulations within HSE and the serving of alcoholic beverages.

We are looking for people who recognize themselves in the following qualifications and characteristics:

• You have experience from receptionist work or have a couple of years work experience from service-oriented professions.
• Bar experience is an advantage, but not a requirement.
• You are welcoming and have a genuine interest in providing service.
• You are solution-oriented and have a good ability to make independent decisions when necessary.
• You thrive on hectic working days and can handle stressful situations in a way that does not affect yourself, your colleagues and our guest in a negative way. 
• You have good English language skills, both verbal and written. A Scandinavian language is an advantage, but not a requirement.
• You are flexible and don’t mind working at different times of the day - daytime, afternoons, evenings and weekends.
• You are a reliable team player who actively contributes to a good working enivironment. 
• You are over 20 years old (due to serving of alcoholic beverages)
